I overheard Cash & Hayden having a frank conversation about the origins of life this afternoon over peanut butter crackers and blueberries.  

I listened amused and impressed as they traded back and forth things like “Did God make babies or adults first?” and “I think it must have been after the dinosaurs” and “then the snake talked to that lady…”.

I was just about to go downstairs and chime in when I heard them both at the bottom of the stairs.

“Mommy?”

“Yes?”

“Does the future even exist?”

Uhhhh……
